Our Story
Abe & Jakes was born from a simple conviction: the best moments happen when people slow down and share a table. We opened our doors on Lawrence's riverfront with a vision for a space that honors both the quiet ritual of a well-poured cup and the lively warmth of a shared drink at closing time.
Every element here is intentional — from the single-origin beans we roast in small batches to the house-made syrups and bitters that define our cocktail program. This isn't a café that serves drinks, or a bar that serves coffee. It's both, thoughtfully done.
